George Ingham Plaza Project: Advancing Clean Energy and Innovation

The Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC) is thrilled to announce that the George Ingham Plaza project has successfully transitioned into the construction phase. The initial stages, including excavation, piles, and foundation work, have been a success. We are now preparing for the upcoming electrical underground conduit installation. The project is progressing as planned, and the initial inground work should be completed by Christmas.

The George Ingham Plaza Project stands as a tribute to the skilled individuals who power BC’s electrical system. As we embrace the pivotal transition to electrification, this initiative honours the innovation, creativity, and determination of those driving change across our province.

This plaza is more than a celebration, it’s a profound acknowledgment of the contributions these contractors have made to organizations throughout BC. By highlighting their dedication to innovation and excellence, the George Ingham Plaza will serve as a lasting symbol of visionary leadership and progress in the electrical and solar sector.

The plaza is not just a physical development, but a hands-on educational initiative. It will provide EJTC apprentices and journeypersons with practical training and experience in clean energy production, particularly in the photovoltaic sector. Equally important, it will serve as a training and awareness platform for the general public, offering unique insights into the solar industry through guided tours, interactive exhibits, and educational workshops.
